There are a range of groups you can join, whatever your age or ability.

Wiltshire Customer Board members
Customer Boards

Our four customer boards help us shape, monitor and review our services. They're formally part of our governance structure.

Residents’ panel/tenants forum/tenant federation

This is the main customer group that discusses and debates issues relating to all the services that are provided by us.

Street reps (aka Community Pride)

These are customers or members of the community that inspect their neighbourhoods on a monthly basis, reporting issues like graffiti, litter and fly-tipping. They also check on grounds maintenance.

ASB

If you want to help us improve the anti-social behaviour service, then get involved. You’ll have the chance to examine policies, procedures and plans for the future.

Customer paperwork
Mystery shopping

This is your chance to go undercover and find out what our customer service experience is like.

Leaseholders and shared ownership

This group is only for leaseholders and shared owners. Customers on this group examine polices, procedures and plans for the future.

Asset management forum

The forum monitors repairs, planned maintenance (like kitchen and bathroom replacements) and complaints. They also get involved with projects or activities relating to the repair and maintenance of our homes.

Sheltered housing focus group and tenants’ forum

You can keep an eye on all the services affecting our vulnerable and older customers who live in our sheltered housing. These groups meet to discuss activities, projects and changes or improvements to services.

Customer inspectors

Help us inspect our services by carrying out telephone and face-to-face surveys, and reviewing procedures and processes.

Young customers at our sports events
Wiltshire resident and tenant voice/Hampshire district residents’ forum/Somerset Area Forums

These groups are made up of customers and tenants from the many housing providers where you live, meeting to discuss issues or sharing good practice.

Estate inspections

You can walk around the estate with your housing officer, looking and monitoring improvements or issues relating to your street and neighbourhood.

Young people

This group looks at issues relating specifically to young people and the issues they may face, they want services delivered in a different way

Twice as Nice

Twice as Nice is our furniture re-use scheme, based in Andover, covering the Test Valley Borough Council area. This not-for-profit venture is run by volunteers. It encourages the community to be more environmentally friendly and recycle items they no longer need but still work well. If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer please complete this short survey.

Design panel

This group looks at plans of new homes and make recommendations for change, like where to store wheelie bin stores, put hedges and the design of our new homes.

Aster steering group

This group is made up of customers from our three main regions. They look at shared areas of interest and are often consulted on policies and strategies.
